Photo Experiments 1

Construction Men.

I have chosen a photograph that I have edited a few times in different effects to see what the putcomes are and if I would like to keep any as my final 6.
These are the images and why:

This first image has a 'Dusk' effect on. I have chosen this to be in my final experiment images because i think it really makes the viewer look at the image more.
When you go to a construction site or area you expect it to be dirty and mucky and dusty from whats in the ground. I think wth this effect in place i think that it gives the image more ambience of whats on the image and really gives it that filthy look.

These two images are both done in black and white effects but edited slightly differently.
The image above this text is just a black and white and from what it looks like i dont really like the end result. I think that with the fence infront it makes it harder to look at because the colours arent in the photo for eg the bright oranges for the men jackets and it doesnt really have a definition to it.

unlike the image below where I have changed the picture to monochrome I have also edited it slightly by bumping up the contrast of the image so it defines the greys to the whites to the black so the shot has more definition to it you can see what youre looking at now, you can see the difference of colour shade between the mens jackets and their faces to the colours of the pipes. the picture above doesnt show any difference or contrast at all so its all one toned picture unlike below.

This last image is my favourite image, this is because the end result of the picture included with the effect makes it look old. This reminds me of previous artists I have looked like and it looks similar.
It looks like this image was shot years ago which gives age to this image and also it has a envelope effect which gives it the panoramic look from the left to right with the blackness at top and bottom making it look fantastic.

Coffee Products.

This image is edited with a effect called Yester color. I like the way this effect has turned out because it makes the photo look slightly dated and also i think the shape of the image does as well with the curving edges.

Through out these 3 pictures i was able to change the colour of the coffe jar labels and also the background. Above is Green and black which i think has a really nice effect and very elecric look about it.

Brown & Yellow effect makes it look more earthy, he coffee is brown and the yellow is a slightly homly mustard look. I would say this is my favourite images out of the 3 images what I have edited but done in diffferent colours.

Blue & Purple is my least favourite and doesnt not work well at all. I think the only thing I liked about this effect and this clour was even though the colours didnt mix well together you can still see the labels on the packets which is most important if you are selling it as a commerical product.

This image is also one of my favourites. i hadve edited this so the Edge hard is 50%, focal 49%, zoom blur 88% i have kept the attention of the label so the customer and viewer knows what is on the packaging or the labelling. I think this really grabs the viewers attention
